Dating apps are the livelihood for many people's love life. Without apps like Tinder and Hinge, a lot of young people could feel lost in the world of dating. But how has it changed our generation's sociability and ability to build a meaningful relationship from the ground up? How has it made us adapt in our brain chemistry, in our communication styles and expectations? Probably in more ways we can get to in this listicle, but one thing is that texting to get to know each other has dominated speaking in person.

With texting comes a lot of confusion that didn't exist before. If you meet with someone, you just talk and plan the next meeting. With texting a lot can go astray…ghosting, not responding in time, misunderstandings over messages, it's all very common. Some desperate people want to start talking immediately and be the center of attention. They want prompt responses or else they feel unnoticed. Now, sometimes it's okay to be clingy, but when it gets to the point of cringy, well we draw a line.
